Among those present are the British Resident Colonel William Scott (1754?-1804) seated left next top the nawab, the chief minister, Tafuzzai Hussein Khan (1727-1800) seated right next to the nawab and Major General Claude Martin (1735-1800)' - Rosie Llewellyn-Jones, 'Indian Treasures in a Scottish County House', Orientations, Vol. 52, No. 6 (November/December 2020), page 7. He sailed to Australia in 1943 and served on General MacArthur's staff. Later he went to New Guinea and the Philippines before moving on to Japan following the surrender.
