Committees

Steering: responsible for providing strategic direction, facilitating operations, and managing DLORI’s general functions.

Collection Development: responsible for creating policies for materials that will be accepted into DLORI and identifying collections across the state that should be ingested into the aggregator. 

Training and Outreach: responsible for developing materials and facilitating training sessions throughout the State of Rhode Island. The committee is also tasked with the outreach and coordination of educational opportunities to help participants prepare their collections for DLORI.

Metadata: responsible for creating and maintaining the necessary documentation to provide current and potential contributors to DLORI with the information required to prepare their collections for inclusion. The committee is also tasked with providing recommendations to the participating member institutions on tools or processes that can support metadata aggregation.

Technical: responsible for evaluating and recommending applications and infrastructure for the aggregator. This committee works with the metadata committee to ensure data ingestion.
