Three weeks After marriage, or the Great little Emperor playing at Bo-Peep
The new Empress rises from the coronation throne in a fit of rage. With her raised hand she aims a crown at Napoleon's head. Napoleon cowers behind a chair and calls for Talleyrand to come to his aid. Talleyrand has fallen backwards and attempts to protect himself from the scepter in flight towards his head. Here Tallyrand is shown as a cripple; he walks with a crutch and wears a corrective shoe. Another figure huddles behind curtains and watches the scene unfold. A pile of crowns litters the ground, and the golden Gallic Cock ornamenting the back of the throne takes flight. Image has tears at upper edge, have been partially repaired.
