Prison Gates and Three German Soldiers
At the top of the sheet is a drawing of the gates of a prisoner of war camp. At the bottom are three German soldiers in uniform, the one at the left is carrying a rifle over this shoulder. Served with the U.S. Army Air Force in Italy and his B-17 bomber was shot down over Germany in June 13, 1944. Captured, he was interned in Stalag Luft 3 until liberated the following year.
