Clothes Line

Two drawings of the barracks in Capece's prison camp are seen. In the upper drawing, a clothes line with drying laundry stretches across the foreground. In the lower drawing, three men sit or lie on a blanket on the ground. Another group of figures stand in the middle ground. A barracks is seen at left with a cart standing in front. Served with the U.S. Army Air Force in Italy and his B-17 bomber was shot down over Germany in June 13, 1944. Captured, he was interned in Stalag Luft 3 until liberated the following year.
