A corner of a military prison camp with watchtower and barbed wire. Signed and dated. Capece was in a German POW camp beginning in 1944 so the date of 1942 is curious. Served with the U.S. Army Air Force in Italy and his B-17 bomber was shot down over Germany in June 13, 1944. Captured, he was interned in Stalag Luft 3 until liberated the following year.
