Brown University's Department of Theatre Arts and Performance Studies and Sock & Buskin present the 2013 Festival of Dance

A highlight of this program was the premiere of 1992 alumna Laura Bennett's quartet, "Jehovah's Watch” with a 2012 score by Eric Sawyer composed to poetry by Emily Dickinson. Dance Extension, directed by Julie Adams Strandberg, performed the piece three of the four nights. Guest company Dancing Legacy performed at the fourth performance. Guest artists, Sarah Pelletier (soprano) and Lois Shapiro (piano) performed live, with Pelletier moving throughout the dance. Dance Extension was also seen in Strandberg's "Ice Images," Carla Maxwell's "Etude," Emily Beattie's "Shadowland," and Brandon Shaw's "The Best Advice My Grandma Ever Gave Me."
