Brown University's Department of Theatre Arts and Performance Studies presents Body & Sole's Fall Dance Concert 2009
This concert was the first in which most of the choreographers also represented extra-curricular student groups, including Attitude Dance Company, Badmaash, What's On Tap?, Amira Bellydance Company, and Fusion Dance Company. Students from the faculty directed companies, Dance Extension (Julie Adams Strandberg) and New Works/World Tradition (Michelle Bach-Coulibaly) were also represented. The more than 14 student run companies on campus indicated the exciting growth of the dance program. A challenge of this shift--from individual choreographers to companies--was to continue to provide opportunities and venues for non-affiliated choreographers and performers. The student choreographers for this show were: Mark Brown II, Elena Albright, Rosalie Elkinton, Liviya Kraemer, Matt Bauman, Lauren Tucker, Talia Wong, Ananya Anand, Riana Dutt, Shweta Bhatt, Carol Siegel, Caroline Kleeman, Julie Siwicki, Elise Nuding, Bianca Neptune, Krystle Onibokun, Stephen Ursprung, Maire Siwicki.
