Dance Ensemble Fall Concert

The concert featured "But" by guest choreographer Annamaura Silverblatt, fragments from a full-evening work about the Holocaust to be presented in the Commencement Dance Concert in May 1999. Student choreographers Jessica Gaynor, Chris Elam, and Alison Friedman and performers Wendy Rein, Lauren Hale, and Andros Zins-Browne went on to have distinguished careers in the dance field. Friedman founded and directed Ping Pong Productions. Dance Extension, directed by Julie Adams Strandberg performed "Trails and Turns" (1998) by Laura Bennett '92, "Requiem" (1990) by Colin Connor, "Flow Form" (1989) by Ruth Andrien, and "Tenant of the Street" (1938) by Eve Gentry. Lighting was by guest designer Timothy Cryan. The student choreographers for this show were: Alison Friedman, Rajeev Goyal, Jennifer Livaudais, Emily Bartholomew, Leigh Fitzgerald, Miriam Friedel, Jessica Zenk, Nancy Rimmer, Jessica Gaynor, Chris Elam, Kate James, Cara Murray, Anita Gonzalez.
