Light Cavalry Charge at Balaclava: Sir G. Wombwell, of the 17th had a narrow escape. He was dragged off his horse by the cap, and taken prisoner by some Cossacks. A Russian officer addressed him and told him not to be afraid, for that he would be well taken care of, though ces gens là were rather rough in their manners.
