Napoleon Bonaparte and General Ney meet after a devastating naval battle. Ney (r.) and Napoleon (l.) meet on a pair of row boats on choppy water. Ney's sails are shot through with holes and the sailors in his vessel are dead and haggard. Napoleon, whose rowboat is filled with terror-stricken and haggard sailors, is enraged that Ney ordered a retreat from the British Navy. A comet with the profile bust of Horatio Nelson streaks across the sky (l. to r.) to inspire British sailors to fight under his auspices.
