Original watercolor initialed F.R. (?); full-length portrait in uniform, outdoors, sword under arm. Original watercolor initialed F.R. (?); full-length portrait in uniform, outdoors, sword under arm. Although wounded, Shaw took part in several charges at the battle and became separated from his comrades. Quickly surrounded by the enemy, he killed nine of them until brought to the ground.
