A lively skeleton (l.), wearing a noose around his wrist, dances mockingly in front of Napoleon (r.), who frowns and orders the vision to go away. The skeleton points to his eye sockets indicating that soon Napoleon will have a new set of 'spectacles' to see from. Behind Napoleon, at the right of the sheet, a group of British soldiers patiently wait under a scaffold.
