Title from first lines on recto, printed on note. On verso paragraph explaining origin of poem and ascribing it to a Major A. L. Jones of Mississippi, and poem beginning: Representing nothing on God's earth now. Poem is often called The Confederate note, and attributed to S.A. Jonas.
