Prophecy explained

The setting is a landscape with the "Pyrennian Mountains" in the far distance. On the left of the image, five European rulers of Wirtenberg, Saxony, Holland, Bavaria, and Prussia--identified as "The five that are fall'n," are seated or sprawled on the ground--the "Slough of Disgrace and Ridicule"--behind the figure of Napoleon, who stands in profile at the center of the image. King Joe is on the right of the image and he reaches with raised arms to take back the crown lifted from his head by the flying allegorical figure of "Spanish Liberty." Liberty is shown according to tradition as a female figure; in addition to the crown of Spain, she carries a liberty cap on a pole.
