The grumbling princes or the Dev-l take the monsieurs

To the left of the sheet, George III (?) stands on a green piece of ground labeled "Little Britain," and holds a paper announcing a British naval victory. Across "Georges Channel," figures representing France, Holland and Spain curse the war. France (center, l.) wears a large bag wig and is elegantly dressed. To his right, Spain is caricatured by a thin mustache and lace collar. Holland, at the far right, is depicted as a plump Dutchman with empty pockets. All three figures stand on a barren piece of ground which is contrasted with the grassy plateau on which George III stands. In the distance, two French war ships, the Formidable and Vile de Paris are partially obscured by billows of smoke.
