Unsigned original bistre wash drawing, (by Simonini?); beneath the walls of a castellated town, a troop of cavalry lead by a standard-bearer and trumpeters in center foreground, prepare to enter the fray which is taking place below the rise in the left middle distance. In the background to the left can be seen a town. If this work is by Simonini, it clearly owes considerable influence to Courtois in its composition and use of motifs.
