In lower margin below border: Sold wholesale and retail by Hunts & Shaw, No. 2 Mercantile wharf, and head of City Wharf, North Side. Hunts & Shaw were listed at above address from 1837 to 1841. The "Siege of Platsburgh", here "Battle of Plat-te-bug" has been attributed to Micah Hawkins.
