The following historic poem was given by Clara Barton ... at the farewell reception of Potomac Relief Corps, at Willard's Hotel, Washington .. At end of text: The insignia and arm-band of the Red Cross worn on the field. Publication date suggested because poem published in K.M. Scott, In honor of the National Association of Civil War Army Nurses, Atlantic City, 1910, with note dating the farewell reception Nov. 18, 1892.
