Variously attributed to Peter St. John of Norwalk, Conn., and Samuel St. John of New Canaan, Conn. Printed in two columns divided by line of advertising with single line at each end: Sold wholesale and retail by L. Deming, No. 1, South side of Faneuil Hall, Boston. Leonard Deming is listed at this address in Boston directories for 1829-1831. Not in Shoemaker or Ford. Not in Checklist Amer. imprints.
