Title printed on elephant's blanket. At end of text: Baltimore, March 15, 1862; type-signed "Ole Secesh." E.P. Ellinger in "Southern war poetry," p. 28, attributes the work "From circumstantial evidence" to Dr. N.G. Ridgely."
