At head of text, printed across leaf: Captain Paul Jones of the Ship Poor Richard, of 40 guns, took an English ship called the Serapis of 44, and a 20 gun ship, at one engagement. Woodcut of two ships engaged in battle centered between title and subtitle. Same cut as one captioned: Enterprize and Boxer in "Naval Songster: being a collection of naval victories, and other excellent songs," printed by J. White, Charlestown, Mass., in 1815. This edition not listed in Shaw & Shoemaker or Ford.
