At head of text wood-engraving of seascape with flotilla captioned: The van of our fleet the British to meet, commanded by Perry, the Lawrence bore down. In lower margin: Sold wholesale and retail by J. G. Hunt, at Song Depot and Book Stand, South Side City Wharf. Hunt used this address in 1836. First line: Ye tars of Columbia give ear to my story.
