This issue includes a section about Fox Point Mayor Doyle being "jubilant" over V-E day-which marked the end of World War II in Europe, but notes that Mayor Doyle will observe the victory until V-J Day, after Japan is also defeated. This issue includes an advertisement for War Bonds, a section about Pvt. Urban Travers being freed from a Nazi Prison Camp, and a bingo benefit for CYO basketball teams.
