Governor Representative Ballot

Republican Prox 1826 – James Fenner was elected governor in 1826, having served on numerous occasions as Rhode Island’s chief executive. He was governor from 1807 to 1811, 1824 to 1831 and 1843 to 1845. He was the son of Arthur Fenner who had also served as Rhode Island governor from 1790 until his death in office in 1805.
