Agricultural Experiment Station Experiments on Spinach and Leeks

A set of two pictures of experiments by the Agricultural Experiment Station. The top image shows and experiment done to New Zealand Spinach where the first group had some New Zealand Spinach limed and unlimed with sulphate of ammonia. The second group on New Zealand Spinach was both limed and unlimed with nitrate of soda (both groups were fertilized with phosphoric acid and potash. The bottom image is of leeks that were divided into the same groups with the New Zealand Spinach. The experiment was to determine which method yielded the highest crop production.
