Colored lithograph by Hanhart; full-length portrait in uniform, as young officer. The title has been cut from the top and pasted at the bottom. The image is based on a daguerreotype of Jackson when he was a Brevet Major taken during a visit to New York in 1851. It was modified by Mathew Brady to show Jackson in a Civil War-period uniform. Colored lithograph by Hanhart; full-length portrait in uniform, as young officer. The title has been cut from the top and pasted at the bottom. Large sculptured granite figure of a Civil War soldier ('The American Volunteer'), with person standing on the left at Westerly, Rhode Island. This statue crowns the U.S. Soldier Monument and forms the centerpiece of Antietam National Cemetery in Sharpsburg, Maryland.
